10 Things That Happen to Your Body If You Have Sex Daily

sex benefits

Do you need 10 more reasons to have sex daily? No. But they’re never bad to know. Sex is a necessary part of life, relationships, and, as it turns out, good health. More regular sex may not get rid of a headache, but the health benefits that daily sex has for you will help prevent the headaches in the first place.

Backed By Fact
Joy Davidson, PhD, psychologist and sex therapist, along with other sexperts, agree that sex has scientifically backed benefits for your health. Obviously it increases blood flow, is good for your skin (“You’re glowing!”), and has improves mental health by increasing desire and intimacy. But how can daily sex help in ways you didn’t know?
Let’s Talk About Sex Health Benefits, Baby
1. Sex Relieves Stress
study shows that sex reduces blood pressure, and therefore overall stress.  Even the simple act of hugging has been shown to lower blood pressure in women.
2. Sex Boosts Immunity
Good sexual health equals good physical health. Even sex just once a week can help your body make antibodies (immunoglobulin) that keep your from getting colds and infections.
3. Sex Burns Calories
Half an hour of sex can burn 85 calories, sometimes even more. And you thought celery was good. Sex is a full body workout and daily sex is a great exercise routine, a sexologist confirms, since you will have to work in order to do perform it well.
4. Sex Improves Heart Health
Studies show that having sex at least twice a week can reduce heart attack risk by 50%. Imagine the benefits from daily sex. Older people may worry about the association of sex and stroke, but these claims have been proven untrue.
5. Sex Boosts Self-Esteem
Increased sex means increased desire, intimate time spent with someone else, and results in improved self-esteem. Some people, who aren’t necessarily lacking in self-esteem, claim to have sex because it makes them “feel better”. Well, of course it does!
6. Sex Improves Intimacy
Orgasms increase the level of oxytocin in your system, which is a hormone that makes you feel really good. Otherwise known as the love hormone, oxytocin helps to relax while building the bonds of trust. That means the more sex you have, the more love you will feel for your partner.
7. Sex Reduces Pain
Oxytocin isn’t the only hormone that your body releases during sex. Endorphins are feel-good hormones, effective in relieving pain. So, like I said earlier, pains like headache (and even PMS symptoms) can greatly improve after having sex.
8. Sex Reduces Prostate Cancer Risk
Older men and younger men alike can reduce the risk of prostate cancer by having more sex. Just 5 weekly ejaculations show that men in their 2os reduce their chances of getting prostate cancer by one-third; older men can reduce the risk by having 21 ejaculations a month.
9. Sex Strengthens Pelvic Floor Muscles
Pelvic floor muscle exercises (or Kegel exercises, as they’re commonly called) can really help increase sexual sensation, and overall health. Contracting these muscles during sex not only feels great, but can help reduce the possibility of incontinence later in life.
10. Sex Enhances Sleep
Oxytocin – what can’t it do? Not only does it make you more intimate, but it also helps relaxation and studies show it is easier to fall asleep after your body has released oxytocin.
So there you are. Get a couple candles, turn the lights down low, and make yourselves comfortable. You’re about to get healthy.
