Thai bomb narrowly avoids protest leader

Published on Jan 24, 2014

A bomb has gone off in the Thai capital of Bangkok, wounding more than 30 people attending an anti-government protest march. Both the government and the protestors are blaming each other for the explosion, which landed 30 metres from the anti-government movement's leader Suthep Thaugsuban who escaped unhurt. This latest incident follows a string of nighttime drive-by shootings at protest sites and grenade attacks on the homes of opposition politicians.
